Steve Dunne, founder of Digital Drums

Marketeer and PR professional, Steve Dunne is listed among the most influential people in PR in the PR Week Powerbook. He is also widely acknowledged as one of the country’s leading specialists in strategic planning and crisis communications.

During his 25 year career, Steve has been head of corporate communications for BT, HSBC and South African Airways as well being a Director of Countrywide Porter Novelli and currently CEO of The Brighter Group. Steve has advised a host of organisations on digital communications including the Prime Minister’s Office, The Home Office, The Royal Navy, Virgin Atlantic, Arcadia Group and many banks, charities and tourist boards. He has led PR campaigns for some of the UK’s leading brands including Gordon’s Gin, Prince's Foods, GNER, Sony, Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines and Visit Scotland.

Steve is a regular lecturer and examiner for the CAM Education Foundation and for the Chartered Institute of Marketing, as well as being Vice Chairman of the CIM Travel Industry Group. Steve also sits on the Council of the Public Relations Consultant's Association (PRCA).

Steve is highly in-demand on the business conference circuit, as a speaker, moderator and advisor for events including the ABTA Travel Convention, Travel Vision, GTMC Annual Conference, Travel Marketing Awards, UKInbound Annual Convention and PR World Congress.
